Worship Leading:
Cherlyn, or Cherlyn & Heartdance
Whether your conference or retreat needs a worship leader or team, your church's worship leaders need a vacation break, or whether you have a special Sunday emphasis, leading worship from the heart is what we're about.
Cherlyn & Heartdance bring a unique Celtic fusion sound, blending Celtic with contemporary, and interweaving the contemporary worship songs and songs of today with fresh renditions of the hymns that bring us all together.
We lead worship for all ages, at camps, retreats, churches of all sizes, and large conference events. (Cherlyn frequently leads worship for conferences of several thousand people.)
It is our desire that everyone be able to take advantage of Cherlyn's ministry. Our honorarium schedule is affordable for everyone; both flat-rate and free-will/sliding scale honorarium options are available.
Workshops for Worship:
Creating Flow in Worship
: As we know, leading worship as a band starts with time with the Lord each week, and then pouring your heart and expertise into what you do. Learn about creating spiritual flow and direction, contemporizing hymns, blending the ancient and modern, and more…great for Worship Band retreats, renewal and annual events.
Developing Your Vision and Ministry Statement
: Without a mission statement, we don't know where we're supposed to go, who we're trying to reach, and how we're going to get there! This workshop is designed to help your Worship band/team gather together, explore your unique gifting, recognize your unique call, see the importance of your ministry, and write a mission and vision statement that will take you where God is calling you! Developed out of her years in ministry and church planting, Cherlyn will help you focus and get on the same page, discover your calling, plan and move forward. This workshop is designed for those who want to see their ministry grow!
The Art of Improvisation for Worship: Strings & WindsPlaying in a worship band is a whole new ballgame for string players! This hands-on workshop will help you gain new skills for playing as a worship band member, explore new styles, consider equipment options (i.e. pickups, pedals, amps, mics, etc.), practice your improvisation skills (or learn some), for the ultimate purpose of glorifying God and worshiping Him through your instrument. This two-part workshop is 2-3 hours.
